Ingredients

  • 1-2 tablespoons coconut oil or butter, optional
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked steel cut oats
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 cups milk, of your choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 2 tablespoons molasses or maple syrup

Directions

Step 2 -Cover the slow cooker and cook until the flavors are melded together and the oats are tender, about 4 hours on high and 6-8 hours on low.
